ENGINE INDICATING AND CREW ALERTING SYSTEM (EICAS)
EICAS
Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) is an integrated system used in modern aircraft to provide aircraft crew with aircraft engines information and other systems instrumentation and crew annunciations. Although different manufactures may use a different acronym, Ex: Airbus calls theirs (ECAM), which in addition to the features of EICAS also provides recommended remedial action. On EICAS equipped aircraft the "recommended remedial action" is called a checklist
